Job Descriptions:

1) Support the respective Head of Underwriting in developing and achieving the Company’s Goals, Targets and Action Plans.
2) To initiate business opportunities, track competition and analyze strength and weaknesses.
3) Identify and appointing potential intermediaries maintain close contact with established connections with a view to exploring new business and retaining business.
4) Handle inquiries, negotiate and liaise with brokers, reinsurers, insurers, regional and head office.
5) Underwrite, quote and agree on terms for acceptance of Personal or Corporate business up to the pre-determined limits and arrange necessary reinsurance protection and survey in accordance with the Company and underwriting guidelines.
6) Exercise prudent but flexible underwriting of risks offered with an aim to secure quality and profitable business.
7) Review renewals of existing business and applying additional or improved terms for renewal as required.
8) Handle the daily administration of the portfolio including servicing of new and existing accounts, negotiation with brokers and reinsurers, and liaison works with the regional and head office.


Personal Qualifications:
1) Bachelor/Master Degree (Highly preferably major in Insurance, Foreign Language or Economics/Finance(General), Law(Liability), Engineering, Marine) and 5 years working experience in related job in insurance companies;
2) Excellent Attendance and Dependability with good communication ability ;
3) Self-motivated an Team-oriented;
4) Proactive, takes initiatives with a “can do” attitude;
5) Detail-oriented without losing focus on the big picture;
6) Familiar with computer software applications (Windows);
7) Good English/Mandarin speaking, writing & reading capability.
